ProofOkay

ProofOkay vs Ziflow

A Ziflow alternative for shops whose proofs get printed

Ziflow is a full online proofing platform for creative teams. ProofOkay does one job: getting a print or sign shop's proof approved by the customer, checked for print at the size it will be made.

Two different tools

Ziflow describes itself as an online proofing platform for creative review and approval. It names marketing, in-house creative, creative operations and legal teams among its users, in agencies, healthcare, consumer goods, retail and manufacturing. Its pricing page lists review for more than 1,200 file types, workflow stages and templates, and Adobe Creative Cloud plugins.

ProofOkay is built for the shop that sends a proof to an outside customer and waits for a yes. You upload the file and enter the size it will print. ProofOkay checks the file at that size, and your customer zooms into the real artwork on a phone and approves it or asks for changes. That's the whole product, at one price for the whole shop.

Ziflow: Checklists with pass/fail options, and a primary decision maker, listed

Ziflow details as listed on Ziflow's own website on October 29, 2026. "Not listed" means their page doesn't say, not that the product can't. Ziflow is a trademark of its owner. Prices change, so check their page before you choose.

Ziflow is the better pick when

  • Your team reviews video, audio or live websites as well as print files.
  • You run reviews through several internal stages before anything goes to a client.
  • You print packaging and need to measure ink densities and Pantone spot colors, which Ziflow lists on its Pro plan.
  • Your designers want to review from inside Adobe Creative Cloud, which Ziflow lists plugins for.

ProofOkay is the better pick when

  • Your proofs go to customers outside the shop, who answer from a phone between other things.
  • You want to know a file will print right at its real size before the customer says yes.
  • You'd rather not count seats: the whole shop is on one $49 plan.
  • You want a signed off answer you can point to later: which version, which boxes, whose name, what time.

Questions

Do my customers need an account to approve a proof? +

No. They open the link you send and answer right there, on a phone or a computer. There's nothing to sign up for and nothing to install.

Is there a free plan? +

ProofOkay doesn't have a free plan. You can look around free for 7 days with no card, then add a card to start a 14 day free trial; the card isn't charged until the trial ends. Ziflow lists a free plan with 2 users and 2 GB of storage.

Can ProofOkay review video or websites? +

ProofOkay is built for print files: PDF, Illustrator saved as PDF compatible, EPS, Photoshop saved with Maximize Compatibility, TIFF, and large JPEG and PNG. If most of your reviews are video or websites, Ziflow lists those file types.

What does the print check look at? +

Whether the file is the size you entered, how sharp its images are at that size, whether it's vector, whether it's set up in CMYK or RGB, whether it has bleed past the cut, and whether its fonts are included. It flags problems; it doesn't change anyone's file.

Who makes ProofOkay? +

The team behind PrinterFlo, software for print and sign shops. ProofOkay is the same proof approval engine on its own.
