ProofOkay API for proofs

Show your customers their proofs where they already shop with you. Your online store, Zapier or your own code can look up a customer's proofs by their email or your order number, see where each one stands, and link them straight to it to approve.

Your key

In ProofOkay, open Proofs → Settings and make a key under API keys. It's shown once, so copy it then. Send it on every request:

A key sees your proofs and your customers, so keep it like a password. Revoke it from the same place any time. A missing or revoked key gets 401.

Rate limit

120 requests a minute per key. Past that you get 429 with Retry-After: 60.

Find proofs

GET https://app.proofokay.com/api/v1/proofs lists the proofs you've sent, newest change first. A proof you haven't sent yet never shows. Filters, all optional:

• email: your customer's email, any case.
• order_ref: your store's order number, as you typed it in the proof's Order # (a leading # doesn't matter).
• status: sent, approved, approved_with_changes, changes_requested, cancelled, or draft (you're readying a new version; the link still shows the one you sent).
• updated_since: only proofs changed since a time, for checking on answers.
• limit: up to 100, default 50.

Send your customer to url: it's their page to zoom into the proof and approve it. Proof pages don't open inside another site's frame, so link to them. viewed_at says when they first opened it.

One proof

GET https://app.proofokay.com/api/v1/proofs/{token} gives one proof by its token (the end of its url), the same way, under "proof". A token that isn't one of your sent proofs gets 404.
